Pulp Adventuecon coming soon

We are looking forward to being a dealer once again at the Pulp Adventurecon in Bordentown.  We will be there with plenty of comic books on DVD.  Of course we will have a collection of classic horror and sci-fi films, vintage TV, favorite old cartoons, and cliffhanger serials.  Please visit us.  We look forward to seeing you.

2014 Mid Atlantic Nostalgia Convention

It has been a while since out last post but here it is.  We are at the MANC in Hunt Valley and having a great time.  We are meeting so many great people who love the same type of stuff that we like.  We are connecting with old friends and making new ones.  If you have never attended this convention you are missing quite a treat.  If you live in the area there is still time to come to the show as it is open today (Friday) and tomorrow.  Come to our table and if you mention that you saw this blog you will receive 10% off of your order.  Have a great day and mayb we will see you at the show.  All the best!

Mid Atlantic Nostalgia Convention

It is 6:10 PM on Friday afternoon.  Once again having a wonderful time at the MANC.  The fans here are so great and knowlegable and a joy to talk to.  Martin Grams, once again, has done a fantastic job on this convention.  If you have not visited this convention you have to make it your business to come either tomorrow if you are in the area or next year - September 18-20, 2014.  I wish everyone a great day.  Take care.

Steel City Con

Well, just got back from the 3 day Steel City Con.  It is always nice to meet people who share a similar interest as myself. The customers that I met at the show were informed, clever and very nice. It seemed like of all the merchandise that was brought to the show - sci-fi films seemed to be the favorite among most of the crowd. Just wanted to make a couple of observations (1) sometimes "stars" can be a little rude.  For example Rowdy Roddy Piper made fans wait in line for almost two hours while he hung out in his hotel room.

Pulp show in Bordentown

After all the weather issues the last couple of weeks I am really looking forward to the Pulp Convention in Bordentown.  Once again  a chance to talk to people who like pulps and other related materials like movie serials, old time radio shows and digital comic books from the Golden and Silver Age.  Hope that everyone who wants to attend will be able to because of the gas situation.  To all my customers please come and support this show.  We have to work to keep shows like this alive so we can all share in our passion for nostalgia and the simpler things in life.  In a world that is so complicated and difficult it is a pleasure to go to these shows and talk to fans of the greatest entertainment in the world.  Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Halloween fast approaching!!!!

Halloween will be here before you know it.  For me Halloween has always been a time when I can catch up again with some of my favorite horror movies.  You can never go wrong with the classic Universal horror films like Frankenstein, Dracula, the Wolfman, the Invisible Man, the Creature and so many others like the Black Cat, Raven, and Murders at the Rue Morgue.  In fact this Wednesday some friends and I are going to see a classic double feature on the big screen Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein at the Paramus Theater.  It should be great watching two fantastic films on the big screen.  I also try to watch some of my favorites in sci-fi that are also scary like Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Forbidden Planet, The Day the Earth Stood Still and of course The Thing From Another World.  All of these classics as well as many more are on our website and available for purchase before Halloween.  I wish everyone a safe and fun Halloween and please stay in touch by blog or come to one of our shows.  Take care everyone.

New titles added to website

Thanks to the wonderful shows in Monroeville near Pittsburgh and the MANC near Baltiimore we were able to acquire new titles for the website.  We will be working on putting them up soon.  Over the last couple of weeks many new titles were added to our site.  Please check out the increased inventory.  Going to the toy and nostalgia shows are so much fun.  Customers at the shows are so incredibly informed about so many of the different types of topics discussed at these shows.

Steel City Con

We would like to thank every one at the Steel City Con who visited our table.  It was fun speaking to all the people who stopped by and had such nice things to say about our inventory.  Though we cannot attend the next Steel City Con in December we are looking forward to attending again next July.  Once again thanks to all who stopped by to say hello and of course all of our customers.  Remember to check out our website if you are looking for any type of classic DVD.  Take care!
